The Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool was opened on the eve of the outbreak of World War 1 and was once regarded as the most luxurious hotel outside London.

After many hours of research we have located the original English Journey 483 page typed manuscript  JB Preistley wrote in 1933

It is held at the Harry Ransom Center Archive in Texas USA.

English Journey – Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water.

The Old New Inn public house model village was built by a small team of local craftsmen, the village is a 1/9th replica of Bourton-on-the-Water, built from the local Cotswold stone. It was opened to the public on the Coronation day of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1937.
